The road to success…
For some, it is easy, for others not. It takes sacrifice, time and a lot of work.
But what happens when the road to success meets passion?
When your job becomes your hobby?
My name is Iasonas, and this is my story.
So far at least.
I have loved technology since I was a child. Computers and gadgets were a big part of my daily life, offering entertainment and constant nourishment to my curiosity. As I got older, I began to understand reality better. The devices slowly ceased to offer mere entertainment. A new world was beginning to appear before me.
The time for high school had arrived.
I had to choose
whether to go to a regular or a vocational school. The choice was easy. I
learned a lot and gained experiences that follow me to this day.
At the end of high school, I decided to pursue something I always liked. Somehow I found myself in a vocational institute where I enriched my knowledge and experience in computers, starting from the foundations and gradually climbing to the top.
The truth is that programming has never been my favorite.
But I knew that to continue doing what I love, I would have to immerse myself
more.
"Hello world", application deployment and mini
games accompanied me for about two years.
I was now ready for another step. Ηaving gained a lot, having gained experience, I decided to take the next step. University is an amazing opportunity to discover how little you know. With graduation, you have gained confidence and something more; The way to find solutions.
Greece… What a wonderful place. Well, it may not be so. But one thing is for sure, the high mountains and the beautiful beaches will always be one step away from you. Growing up in such an environment, I had difficulty staying away from nature. Excursions were frequent, sometimes to snowy mountains and some other times to warm sandy beaches. Water sports accompanied me for several months, as the weather conditions allowed. When the temperature dropped, the tops of the mountains took the place of the beach. Sometimes by off-road vehicles, sometimes by mountain bikes, and sometimes on foot. When I started studying electronics, I discovered that I enjoyed radio communication. So, I decided to get my first transceiver and start experimenting. My longing to communicate with people over long distances, even up to the International Space Station, was combined with the building of improvised antennas of all types and sizes. Another trip that never ends, no matter how many years pass.
